It’s called a “rehabilitation aviary” and it’s where sick or injured birds go when they’re getting better, before they are released.
Every year, The Hawk Conservancy Trust receives hundreds of injured raptors. Most are brought in by members of the public. Other birds arrive from local vets, farmers, the RSPCA and the Police.
We hope you’ll share our interest in these birds and their recovery, and the importance of the work of the Hawk Conservancy Trust in looking after such an important part of our wildlife and environment. This website has information on the history of the hospital, there’s a profile of the latest patients and an archive with details of those that have recovered and left the hospital. We hope you enjoy the pictures and if you want some more information please get in touch
